It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother, Firefighter Brandon Winfield, following a brief illness. His loss has left an immeasurable void within our department and in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brandon was truly one of the finest men you could ever hope to meet. He brought a positive attitude to every shift, every call, and every room he entered. No matter the circumstances โ whether responding to an emergency or simply sharing time around the station โ Brandon carried himself with steady confidence, kindness, and an infectious smile. He had a rare gift for lifting spirits, offering encouragement after a long tour, and bringing comfort to citizens on what may have been the worst day of their lives.
His dedication to the fire service was unwavering. Brandon took immense pride in his work and in standing shoulder to shoulder with his fellow firefighters. He embodied teamwork, loyalty, and professionalism. When challenges arose, he met them with strength and resolve. When someone needed help, he was the first to step forward. He exemplified the very best of what it means to serve.
Beyond the uniform, Brandonโs greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Rebecca, and a loving father to their two children. His love for them was evident in every story he shared and every plan he made for the future. They were the center of his world, and he carried that love with him into everything he did.
As we mourn this tremendous loss, we ask that you keep Rebecca, their children, and all of Brandonโs extended family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers. May they find strength in the love that surrounds them and comfort in the countless lives Brandon touched.
