Brandy Michelle Strain-Dayer, 52, of Conway, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a world immeasurably brighter for her presence. To know Brandy was to know a life lived with no half measures. She was color in a black-and-white world—bright, funky, a little bit hippie, and completely, unapologetically herself.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard “Len” Dayer; her parents, Gary and Nancy Strain; her sister, Jackie Strain-Mahar (Tony); her cherished nieces, Gracen Holmes (Caleb) and Jewels Mahar; her nephew, Major Mahar; her bonus daughter, Allison Dayer (Ausher Adbo); and her precious granddaughter, Mila.
Brandy’s fierce, joyful love extended to her three fur babies, Sooiee, Dutton, and Ozzy, and to spoiling her family. An avid fan, her enthusiastic cheers for the Hogs, Conway Wampus Cats, Saints, and Cowboys were legendary.
One of her greatest loves was the photography business she built with her sister, a legacy started by their parents. Brandy didn’t just take pictures; she captured moments people never want to forget. This gift sprang from who she was: a woman who saw beauty everywhere—in light, color, and human connection.
