Jashaun Brown Death, Obituary:Man Killed in Late-Night Shooting in Louisville’s California Neighborhood
The Louisville community is mourning the loss of a 38-year-old man who was killed in a late-night shooting that has left residents shaken and searching for answers.

Police identified the victim as Jashaun Brown. Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department were dispatched just before 10 p.m. Thursday after reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of Garland Avenue, located in the city’s California neighborhood. When officers arrived, Brown was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was later confirmed by the Jefferson County coroner.
