Peter touched so many of our lives. As a teacher, his keen eye and generous spirit unlocked potential. As a mentor, his wisdom guided countless artists. As the company’s Artistic Director and a founding member, his visionary leadership shaped EDAM’s very soul for decades. We remember him vividly on stage, too—a powerful presence in works like *Coming Out of Chaos* (1982), where his physical artistry first captivated audiences.
We are forever grateful for his artistry, teachings, mentorship, and love that continue to resonate throughout our community. Peter’s philosophy of movement as a deeply human conversation has left an indelible mark. He cultivated not just a company, but a family and a sanctuary for exploratory dance.
Peter Bingham will always be a part of EDAM. His foundational principles of curiosity, integrity, and connection remain our compass.
